For some horse owners, safety now a question **Justice for Dually**

FORT PIERRE — Char Price Stangle, a rodeo rider from Haakon County, is concerned. With no arrests yet made in the case of a rodeo horse allegedly stolen from the Stanley County Fairgrounds and abused after the Fort Pierre Fourth of July Rodeo, Price Stangle said she worries for the safety of children and their horses at the 4-H Rodeo in Fort Pierre Aug. 8 and 9.

“My concern is for the safety of the kids and the horses,” Price Stangle said. “We want to be able to prove to children the fact that this is wrong and somebody will take care of it.” (read more)

Riding with a plan

Two years ago when Dusty Hausauer flew back to North Dakota for the Champions Ride saddle bronc match, he watched intently as one of his former high school teammates, a little-known amateur bronc rider who grew up in the Badlands, impressed professionals and veteran cowboys with his skills in the arena.

That’s when Hausauer’s expectations for Clay Schaeffer grew.
