Rodeo clown, Rick Young celebrates 50 years at Sikeston

SIKESTON, MO (KFVS) – It was a muddy night for cowboys on the opening night of the Sikeston Jaycee Bootheel Rodeo.

Tuesday night storms left the rodeo grounds very muddy.  That made things very nasty, especially for the steer wrestlers who had to wallow in the mud.  So much for those nice clean western shirts and jeans.  As far as walking, cowboys were up to their ankles in the soupy mess.

Unbridled Justice (video) **Justice For Dually**

news2It’s been exactly one month since a rodeo horse was stolen from the Stanley County Fairgrounds in Fort Pierre and abused and still no one has been arrested.

The news has outraged horse lovers and animal rights activists all across the country. From blogs to emails, frustrations are mounting and rumors are spreading, even allegations of a cover-up.

Ft. Pierre is South Dakota’s rodeo capital and also home to World Champion Bare Back rider Casey Tibbs. But in the last month, this cowboy town has been bucked by rumors and accusations over a top-notch rodeo horse. (read more)
