
There are plenty of reasons Jesse Pohlmann finds his way to the Kansas City area.
This weekend, Pohlmann, a cowboy from Lenexa, will be shooting for a bull-riding championship during the Prairie Circuit Finals Rodeo at Kemper Arena, held in conjunction with the American Royal. Performances are 7:30 p.m. today-Saturday, though the opening performance is sold out.
“I think our circuit’s one of the toughest ones in the country,” said Pohlmann, originally from the eastern Missouri community of Sullivan. “We’ve got a lot of good rodeos in our circuit, and the bulls are really good.” (read more)
