It is COLD!!!!!!!
Hi Everybody, Blue Moon here. How is the world treating you? Are you warm enough? I know we have a lot of fans up North and in Canada, are you all surviving the cold? I woke up this morning and it was -2 degrees here in the Bluegrass. I know it is MUCH colder up north but you people knew when you sprouted roots and started a life there that it would be THAT cold. I mean it isn’t like you went to Minnesota and got up one day and thought “UH, I had no idea it was going to be THIS cold!!” You knew it would be. YET, here in the Bluegrass….I am telling you……I didn’t sign up for these temperatures! I can handle 30 degrees but -2….NO! Guinness and I headed out to the barn this morning at 7:00, just barely day light and busted water buckets for 20 minutes. I was so bundled with my undershirt, t-shirt, sweatshirt, jeans, Carhart bibs, toboggan, hood tied tightly, Carhart jacket and insulated gloves that it took me 10 minutes to just get everything on and THEN I could barely walk. I looked like the Michelin Tire Man! I mean COME ON, ENOUGH ALREADY. I am so ready for flip flops and tank tops that I can barely stand it!! Are you people with me?? I swear you will not hear me bitch once when it is 102 degrees here and I feel like I am going to suffocate when I walk to the barn…I promise!!! How are you guys handling it?
Okay, I won’t complain anymore because seriously I have nothing to complain about. It is 2010!! The beginning of a New Year! I love BEGINNINGS! I feel like we have a clean slate and can make this year what we want it! So I won’t gripe and moan any more about the weather…………at least not today
