Tracey Goodman PRCA Rodeo Update…Tupelo, MS

Well, Biscuit and I are getting more and more excited about the rodeos cranking up!! He has been running really good lately which I’m afraid to say because I don’t like to speak to soon! 
Anywho, we entered the Tupelo, Ms. PRCA. This is one pen that we have never been to seeing as how they haven’t had this rodeo in a couple of years. It’s a side gate set up and the ground has had some horror stories behind it. Oh well…that’s not gonna stop us from entering!! So we head down…we wound up getting up in slack which was fine by me. There were a lot of hit barrels, horses running off from the barrels from the banners and horses ducking barrels. You never really know what to expect, I don’t guess. Biscuit walked in like a complete gentleman, which suprised me!! We walk him down past the chutes to set him up for his first barrel. One left turn to the first. He sucks it up, I had to hold him off of the second a good bit but he got around it nicely after we got to it. The third was pretty nice and he ran home hard. We were sitting sixth by the end of slack but there was still a performance for Saturday night left with a bunch of nice horses left to run. One of my good friends went to the rodeo Saturday night as her husband was roping. She was sending me text updates on what was getting done. By the end of the second performance, we wound up splitting the last whole (8th place) with another girl. All in all…not too bad!! We’ll see what happens later on down the road!!
