Game Changer: Barrel Racers Tool4Wisdom Planner
Today I’m gonna tell you about an awesome find I stumbled upon several years ago that I honestly can’t live without! This is the Tool4Wisdom Planner. It really is a game changer. If you’re in the rodeo industry that automatically means you are BUSY. It also means you are a goal oriented person. You can’t achieve greatness with your horse unless you have a goal. Once you have the goal, you must have the PLAN! This planner will help you stay organized! I just got my 2017 planner I can’t tell you how helpful this tool is. I use this planner every single day. I love the covers too. I get the soft cover and this is the one I got this year:
When you get this planner the first thing it goes in to is the “20-20 Habit Challenge.” Some people already make it a habit to write in their planners every day. However, some people need help or are just now getting interested in that aspect of their day to day, week to week or month to month. That is ok! This planner will help each of you! It’s been hammered in to me for years that in order to achieve your goals you must WRITE THEM DOWN. It really is true. Girls (and guys) as you get ready to think about your goals for 2017, remember write them down. There is something to actually putting the thought on paper. Trust me, it works! As for the 20-20 challenge, this planner will give you the steps to start reaching those goals. It shows you that you need to make the goal and then every day you need to do something in order to make that goal happen. I love this about the planner because it keeps your goals in front of you.
It has an entire section just for GOALS. You can write down your personal goals and your professional goals. It ask you “What goal am I trying to accomplish? Why is this important to me?” It is so important to fill out this section because it forces you to really look at why you are going to chose to the goals. Is it to have a successful rodeo season in 2017? Is it to lose weight? It is to move up from the 4D to the 3D? Whatever your goal is, really think on it, give it a go!
As you look on to the “month pages and the daily pages” you will see it gives you an opportunity to make monthly goals and daily goals. I LOVE daily goals. I think it’s in the daily goals, that makes you reach the big one!! What did you do every single day to achieve something? Make sure at the end of the day, you are working towards something! Nothing makes us feel more alive than achievement. Achieving something is a HUGE motivator. It doesn’t have to be something huge. For example, if you’re trying to lose weight, make a goal to eat a salad every day for a week. You will feel great when you do that. Then make the same goal but for two weeks. You will be so amazed how well you feel about achieving something. This planner will help keep you on track.
This planner also breaks each day down by the hour. I love this! I can write down all my meetings, all my erands and my time to workout, ride my horses and my meals (I use this as a food journal as well). It really is all encompassing!
Now, I’m gonna tell you one thing I do every single Monday in my planner. When I get to my office on Monday morning, I get my planner opened for the week ahead and I washi tape it. You’re probably saying “What?” I know but hear me out. HA! I washi tape the week, if you aren’t familiar with washi tape, its pretty thin tape that you can use on paper. It comes in all colors with all kinds of designs. You can view some here and you can see below my planner pages. If I washi tape my pages, it makes me WANT to fill it out. Just plain pages, eh…boring. But if I make my planner pretty it makes me want to use it. Ok, don’t knock it till you try it. You can buy washi tape at any hobby store or you can get it here when you order your planner.
One thing that is a bit of drawback about this planner is it is heavy. Its not a pocket planner, or a little planner that is going to fit in your purse. This is a bigger planner so it does make it a bit heavy. That is the only complaint I have. However, it fits in my laptop bag fine so it isn’t that big of a deal for me. Remember, this is a planner/goal book/journal all in one, not just an “agenda keeper” 🙂
Ok, that sums this up! I just wanted to let you know it’s a MUST HAVE before I start every year. Ladies, I’ve been writing in planners since I could write. Seriously! I have always loved planners. I’ve tried the expensive ones, the digital ones, the big ones, the little ones, the leather bound ones, etc… I’ve tried them all and this is by far my favorite! 2017 is right around the corner and you want to be prepared! Starting the year off organized and ready is a great feeling!
If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask!
